I am an artist from a small coastal area of Donegal. I completed my BA honours in contemporary art in Galway and have now lived there for 5 years. My work is focused on irish wildlife and the natural environment. Growing up surrounded by nature i developed a great passion for the conservation of our unique native wildlife as i also witnessed the destruction of it along with the population decline. Through my work i explore themes such as memento-mori, human impact on the natural world and life cycles. I create detailed pen drawings, watercolours and also photography.
I hope that my work translates the preciousness of our wildlife and may raise some form of awareness of how it is under threat.
